Sunday Run 1st May 2011 SD training no 8

Here is the plan for Sunday run:

Date: 1st May 2011 (SUNDAY)
Meet: 0530
At: Sengkang CC
Route and Distance: Total of 34km

SKCC->Buangkok->AMK->Bishan->Upper Thomson Rd->Old Upper Thomson Rd, turn left at gate into Upper Pierce->UTurn at toilet back same way->Turn left at gate into Old Upper Thomson Rd->Shell Station U turn->Upper Thomson Rd->YCK->Jln Kayu->SKCC

Option
14k - Single Loop (Turn right at Nanyang Poly back YCK)
22k - Single Loop (Do not go into Old Upper Thomson Rd) - home run from Teachers' Estate
27k - Single Loop (Go into Old Upper Thomson rd but do not turn into Upper Pierce)
32k - Single Loop (Do not go to Shell Station)

IMPORTANCE:
1. Hydration
2. some cash/ID/Bus card
3. Sun Protection
4. Energy Gels (if u are to have them for your marathon)
5. Study the route

PUNGGOL RUNNERS GOOD FRIDAY GRP SCENIC RUN with TEAM FATBIRD RUNNERS

A social run in collaboration with Team Fatbird to orientate PRunnies + TFBirdies on the new trail with many stops for interaction and picture taking.

Day/ Date: Friday 22 April 2011
Time to assemble : 0630 hrs to 0650 hrs.
Venue/ Meeting Point : KOVAN HUB ( formerly SBS Transit Hougang St 21 Bus Interchange ).

Transport: via NE MRT line Kovan MRT stn / arrange your own car pool
Parking: Carpark at Kovan Hub
Dress Code: New PR NB White Run Singlet

Route: KOVAN HUB Hougang St 21 > Tampines Rd > Tampines Trail > Lorong Halus Wetlands > Serangoon Tidal Gates>U TURN back same way.

Option for dispersal for Punggol Runners at Buangkok Bridge flyover/Popeye Bridge or SK.

RUN DETAILS :
All runners will meet at KOVAN HUB for briefing. Photo-taking before starting the grp run.

Fuel belt,sunglasses,hp recommended.

There will be running guides and marshalls along the way.

Meet: Sengkang CC
Distance:
10k (U-turn at UMC Water fab plant nearby Whitewater condo)
20k (U-turn at Downtown East)
30k (U-turn at Changi Village)

Distance: 21k and 30k
Route: SKcc>sengkang east ave>Up serangoon rd>Hougang ave7>Defu ave1>eunos link driving centre>Uturn for 21km
>for 30km> proceed to eunos link>left>bedok reservoir rd>cross over to opposite blocks/temple>go behind blk 101 to cross over PIE to Kembangan Park Connector>all the way to marine parade Victoria JC>cross over to ECP C4 carpark>U turn same way

Dear Allmighties,

Please note that this Sunday the 10th April 2011 we DO NOT have OUR REGULAR TRAINING RUN as our most wanted persons are running 2XU run. But we understand that we all can't live without Punggol Runners, so we have FRIDAY NITE RUN, here is the detail:

When: FRIDAY 8th April 2011
Time: 8PM (make sure you makan earlier)
Meet at Sengkang CC
Distance: 16k, 22k, 30k and 36k

16k: 1 round of SK-Jl Kayu-YCK-AMK ave 5-Buangkok-SK cc
22k: together with 16k - continue to Punggol way- punggol east - popeye - Uturn same way to SK
30k: together with 22k up to popeye - continue to cross lor halus to pasir ris UMC bldg - uturn same way back to SK
36k: together with 30k up to UMC - continue to downtown east - uturn same way back to SK

This is nite run, we advice you to be safe, please run in group or at least pick a buddy to run together.
