OFF-ROAD EXPLORATION RUN
Sunday Run - Exploration Off-Road Punggol-Hougang
Date: 20th February 2011
Meet: at Sengkang CC
Time: 0545 hours (be punctual) - we want to capture the sunrise
Distance: approx 24km
Next, all runners proceed to jog VIA Rivervale, Sengkang East, Upper Serangoon Tech Sch, Florida Park to Hougang Ave 7/Defu Ave 1 junction to meet up with Francis aka Kayano (our tour leader ). We must reach this junction by 0615 hrs sharp.
Kayano will lead us into the new 14KM trail route( Tampines Rd side ). The trail (dark at between 0615 hrs to 0645 hrs) is approx 14 km long, all the way until Punggol End. We will be able to view the nice sunrise. Total distance, inclusive of return route to SK CC is est 24km.
All runners need to carry:
1. hydration (no water point)
2. handphone
3. small torchlight if possible
4. Sun protection
PUNGGOL Runners staying in Hougang areas can rendevous at the Hougang Ave 7/Defu Ave 1/Tampines Rd junction at 0615 hrs.
ALL RUNNERS HAVE TO BE PUNCTUAL
