MIZUNO WAVE RUN 2008 - 27 July 2008

Here we were gathering in the stadium track warming up for the track-road-gravel 10K Mizuno Run at Bedok Reservoir area. Light drizzle was shadowing this early Sunday Morning. The race went on without hiccups, most runners enjoyed the run, good cooling morning, eventhough the humidity was always there.

SHAPE RUN 2008 - 20 July 2008

Green save the earth!!!.... more than 8000 ladies, mostly dressed in lime green NIKE running vest were thronging the padang area, in Singapore central district awaiting for the official flag off horn of 10k and 5k ladies only run. The weather was trully great, along with the cheerleaders doing some jumping high and low, not to mentioned the fun powerful warm up with planet fitness instructors on both 10k and 15k stages.
The logistic provision was excellent too, runners got abundant supply of drinks, lots of fruits choice and big tent for massage - A real 2 thumbs up for the organizer.
Despite of my right knee misalignment injury I still managed to clock in a decent time for my rush 5K run (what to do, must rush home to prepare 4pm b'day party for my daughter).
Sally, I hope you really had a good run. Many thanks to Patrick, Haili and Jack for the support, even though you guys actually were companying your ladies. Ha ha ha ...but knowing 3 of you were there, was enough to boost my running morale. So sorry didn't look out for you guys at the finishing point, I went off immediately. Cheers....

WORLD HARMONY RUN 2008

This is the first time for some of us to be part of this meaningful Harmony Run. We're so glad that we're actually there. The run was so fun, no stress like racing, all of us run as one, slow and steady, on top of that we got to know so many new friends... n.... they are FUN loving people. The atmosphere was superb...mother nature granted us with light drizzle cloudy morning. The support vehicle people, 3 Aetos guys and Paramedics were such a great company.

Not only we just simply ran and ran all along together... hey.... we had 3 stops with great warm welcome; 1st was Taoist Temple with grand welcome ceremony... walao... got LION Dance - loud and grand as well as sumptuous buffet. After that we ran about 8km and stopped at Muslim Mosque (Changi Rd). They were so warm and we had prayer together. The last stop was about 3km, the Sikh Temple, the welcome brought smile to all of us as so many children greeted us. We had lots of soft drinks and spice tea which was so good plus heavenly vegetarian biryani enough to fuel us for another 7-8km to Merlion Park. We took Nicole Highway down to Esplanade bridge by the time we reached the Merlion Park, we were greeted with heavy downpour. It was just perfect, we got free shower... too bad no one had shower cream....(just kiddin')
